ABSTRACT
The model neglects rate limiting ion entry or ejection, electron self-exchange, and molecular interactions within the films. Thus, the average apparent rate constant ks is best interpreted as a relative measure of the rate of the overall electron transfer process dependent on film and electrode properties. It is suitable for between-film comparisons, but it is not an absolute rate constant.
