ABSTRACT
Fine magnetic particles have found use in many applications, such as recording media and ferrofluids (1,2). New uses of these particles have also been proposed in high-density information storage (3) and in a number of biomedical applications (4-6). These new applications require excellent control of properties such as particle size, and variables that affect these properties are the focus of an increasing number of studies.
