ABSTRACT
It is our purpose in this paper, to prove compactness theorems in the setting of the inhomogeneous Sobolev space Wl'xLu which generalize those of Simon [17] and Landes-Mustonen [14] and which have to be applied, in the coming paper [8], to get existence results and convergence theorem for strongly nonlinear parabolic initial-boundary value problems in Orlicz spaces.
