ABSTRACT

A continuum is a compact, connected nondegenerate and nonempty metric space. The hyperspaces of a continuum X considered in this paper are 2X = {A C X : A is closed and nonempty}, C(X) = {A G 1X : A is connected} and, for each n > 1, Fn(X] = {A € 2X : A has at most n elements}. Each of them is topologized with the Hausdorff metric.
