ABSTRACT

The greenhouse effect is related to carbon dioxide emission in the world’s atmosphere and many other pollutants that are released by the extensive use of the finite conventional energy supplies [1]. The increasing global need for energy and the depletion of fossil fuel reserves necessitate the development of clean alternative energy sources [2, 3]. Although nuclear power was regarded to be a solution for the increasing energy demands, the storage of nuclear waste is too frightening for future generations to tolerate radioactive fission products. Therefore, to maintain our planet habitable, we will have to develop methods for harnessing solar power, which is clean, nonhazardous, and infinite.
