ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: This article reports on innovation and development work of a semi-permanent flood protection structure. This flood protection structure has a preferable use in densely populated urban areas where the access, physical and visual, to a river or other water body should be preserved. Other places it can be utilised are places where it is not possible to build high earth embankments or not possible to build such structures at all. This is also a structure that is easy to use as a closure structure around important objects. The structure developed is described and some of the results from performance tests are reported. Some of the installations that are already done are shown.
