A bryozoan fauna from the Carboniferous (Mississippian, Late Viséan) of the Velbert Anticline, Germany

Europe and Asia, contains exceptionally well preserved silicified faunas and floras, and is considered to be indicative of low-energy environments (Becker & Bless 1990). Carboniferous bryozoans in Germany have not been extensively studied and only a small number of papers has been published (Nekhoroshev 1932, Ernst this volume).
