ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: Realizing the concept of sustainability in the building sector presents a challenge for architects, planners and engineers. Structures have to be functional and efficient during their lifetime while fulfilling economic, social, technical and ecological requirements. A significant factor in this process is the selection of the building material itself, which has to be of highquality while, durable, recyclable as well as cost and energy efficient. In these aspects aluminum has a high potential.
