ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The objective of this study is to evaluate the behavior of the reinforced concrete (RC) two-way slabs pre-damaged under membrane and flexural loads, then repaired and retrofitted with TFC (Tissue of Fibers of Carbon). This paper presents the result of an experimental test. In the first time, the large-scale reinforced concrete shell element was pre-damaged under membrane force and bendingmoment.After, the shell elementwas repaired by the joining ofTFCon the tensile face. Then, the slab retrofitted was tested until the ruin. The failure mode was the detachment of the external TFC strips from the slab.
