ABSTRACT

The most common approach to detect the efficacy of lipedema treatment is volumetry using direct or indirect measurement tools. The assessment of tissue composition is useful to assess the proportion and changes of adipose tissue. The change of pain levels can be evaluated with simple questionnaires, while the magnitude of bruising is easily detected with angiosterrometry. The perceived change between pre- and post-treatment conditions could be precisely characterized with quality-of-life questionnaires.
