ABSTRACT

Early recognition of complications (such as infection, sepsis, and lymphatic leak) associated with patients with Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome (KTS) is a very important step as delay in initiation of appropriate treatment can be life threatening and can lead to serious complications. Given the paucity of available data in the literature, evidence-based guidelines are derived from case series and/or smaller subgroups of patients from larger studies. Further studies are needed for more accurate assessment of the best treatment modality for complications in the most complex group of patients with KTS.
