ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with the expression of drug-metabolizing enzymes (see Chapter 7) in laboratory animals.
Due to ethical and rational reasons, laboratory animals are used to test the safety of new drugs and environment and to elucidate the metabolic pathways of pollutants and carcinogens.
