ABSTRACT
Paediatric drug research needs to involve the pharmaceutical industry working in partnership with paediatric health professionals (doctors, pharmacists and nurses with paediatric expertise). Paediatric clinical pharmacologists, who have both the expertise of other paediatric health professionals and an understanding of clinical pharmacology, should ideally be involved, especially in relation to the design of the clinical trials.
