ABSTRACT

The opportunities available from online integrated systems and a variety of “external online system” sources make the tasks of acquiring online management reports a growing area. Acquiring Online Management Reports is inevitably a “big tent” topic. Thus the varied contributions published clearly demonstrate the vast opportunities and challenges before ones' in acquiring online management reports of all sorts, “acquisitions-module-specific” and otherwise. The demands of Integrated Library System (ILS) management report acquisition are second order ones, as well as being trans-modular, system-wide in scope. The management reporter must be a professional with an adequate grasp of not only general report-generating features and necessary search logic but also of the detailed codes of many modules, templates, and system-record types in order to extract needed report data and formatting from within an ILS.
