ABSTRACT

This paper raises a concept of future urban planning that still maintains the local culture or the culture of the archipelago in Indonesia. This article is the result of research conducted on a traditional village in the northern Bandung area. The method used in this study is a qualitative method that uses a visual cultural transformation theory approach. The results of this study are a new concept regarding smart cities without losing the cultural characteristics of the archipelago. This research is still in its early stages, and requires more discussion and application in more detailed and specific case studies.
