ABSTRACT

The study is devoted to experimental investigations of the elastic modulus and hardness dependences of tungsten carbide deposited by laser high-speed sintering on stainless steel substrate and surface topology. The researches of mechanical properties were fulfilled by the indentation method on studying a complex system of physical and mechanical properties of materials Nanotest 600. The surface topology on the noncontact optical profilometer New View 6300 was investigated. Hardness, Young’s modulus increases in the passage trajectory of the laser because of the quenching phenomenon.
