ABSTRACT

Data today have emerged out to be a most prized artefact. With more and more businesses transitioning to digital, a gigantic volume of information is fabricated within their supply chains.

An organisation’s quality of success standards set by decision-makers who have a deep understanding of their organisation’s data. Big data analytics helps business’s reduce expenses, make notable, quick decisions, and innovate novel products or services to satisfy the growing requirements of customers and end users. It is a goal to have the future of supply chain digitisation be driven by data and analytics.

But data are worthless without the tools that allow organisations to arrange, comprehend, interpret, and acquire profound insights from it. The extraordinary mass of data generated today extinguishes the capability for scrutinising that data in many organisations. The uprising of big data has made it inevitable for organisations to buy stakes in technology and methodology that facilitate big data analytics. Technologies such as predictive analytics and location intelligence are upgrading the way the supply chain utilises data. This chapter focuses on such supply chain analytics technologies for big data.
