ABSTRACT

Breast cancer is the commonest cancer globally. Though there are well set evidence based guidelines globally, various low and mid economy countries are unable to implement it due to resource issues. The chapter aims to put put forward a working guideline for breast cancer mangement in such circumstances. While mammography based screening programs are successful in many developed countries, such programs have little role in these settings. Evidence suggests clinical breast examination based screening program is associated with 15-30% reduction in population mortality.
