ABSTRACT
BC is the commonest cancer in females world wide. It can be hereditary, familial or sporadic in nature. In hereditary BC there are large number of germline mutations noted along with defined preventive and therapeutic strategies. Somatic mutations are more complex and caused due various factors. They are more heterogeneous in nature. BC originate either from luminal or basal cells of TDLU . The behaviour and outcome is dependant on the biological subtype.
