ABSTRACT

Multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) is a technique developed to evaluate different and multi-alternative information from various sources in all areas of life. The use of MCDM methods is based on modeling and analysis of decision processes according to criteria. MCDM consists of stages such as setting goals, creating criteria, identifying alternatives, evaluating alternatives according to criteria, general evaluation and decision, reviewing decisions and feedback. Therefore, MCDM is used as an assist tool for the decision-maker to make the appropriate decision. This technique is used in many areas in the literature and is constantly being developed. In this book chapter, studies on the application of MCDM techniques about conventional and non-conventional machining techniques have been researched and the inferences obtained from these studies have been presented in a comparative way.
