ABSTRACT
Advanced digitalization and its amalgamation with networking technologies and smart objects drive us into a new industrial revolution, named as Industry 4.0. It brings new methods and technologies for the improvement of industrial production. Therefore, the main focus of this chapter is to illuminate the basic concept behind Industry 4.0 including its definition, technological components, and future scope. Furthermore, it briefly describes the principal driving technology of Industry 4.0, termed as Internet of Things (IoT) including its different perceptions and mobile technologies in IoT.
