ABSTRACT
The paper deals with environmentally friendly packaging. As the environment consists of not only the environment itself but the human and the product are also part of it, the interrelation of the product-human-environment cycle should be analyzed. It should be scanned what the designer should keep in front of the eye during the design process of an environmentally friendly package. Of course, on behalf of protecting the environment, one of the most significant questions is the material that is used for the package. It should be kept in one’s mind what kind of effects have the packaged product on the package and how does this effect work backwards. If we look on the package as it is the product we should analyze the effect of the package on our green environment and on the users as well. For example, is the material of the package degrades, is it easy to open the package? The paper deals with these questions of designing environmentally friendly packaging.
