ABSTRACT

Technology affects media’s evolution on the depth of experience and the cognitive criteria being offered. The powerful domination created by the combination of virtual images and real-time rendering not only has full control of creation but also adjusts elements influencing the perception of reality. Furthermore, this study reconsiders and explores what kind of spatial experiences have been lost in the process of sketch that have been commonly compressed through traditional 2D image processing including space perspective experience mechanism and what mechanism is needed in order to resume the lost?

In the technologies of experiential transmission, many often adopted methods have always adhered to the classic mechanism with artist as experiential agent since the Renaissance era. These methods are utilized in various domains such as painting, filming, and virtual/digital gaming. As the authenticity of the inner space of the image and the freedom of high degree for creation progress continuously, on the other hand, the contrast emerges with the essence of the experiential compression from the past planar image when the reality is captured, and the loss of information from actual space after high compression ratio.

From the interactive creative works in the exhibition, Depth of Superficiality 2015, curated at National Taipei University of Technology, a 3D projection mapping technique has been advanced into the phase with real-time updating perspective by tracking the moving point of view. It has also established the core concept and related techniques for future long term exploration. It combines the latest tracking techniques, in order to discuss how to connect the relation between compressive logic from the inner space of images, to the outer in-site space, furthermore, to new textual interactive forms based on spatial experience.
