ABSTRACT

The contour of a pyramid s geometric form has some characteristics, including slash, angle, and direction. It could form the dynamics of perception direction to the kinematics, if it makes the mutual factors on surface of form between continuous parallel spiral lines and rotational motion, and it gives the dynamic illusion of a continuous line graphic. In order to investigate the relationship between pyramid sides, rotational velocity, and motion perception, this study uses the adjustment method in psychophysics, investigating whether different changes in polygonal pyramids influence the perception of apparent movement, and examining the mutual relationships and causal relationships among pyramid sides, rotational speed and apparent movement from the perspective of the apparent angles at the rotational speed threshold boundary line. The experiment shows that different pyramids with different rotational speeds affect the strength and formation of two visual influence phenomena. It directly influences the formation and appearance of apparent movement in an individual pyramid. In apparent movement, the triangular pyramid is the one with the best dynamic illusion effect, and the octagonal pyramid is the one with the worst dynamic illusion effect.
