ABSTRACT

Since the late 20th century, Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) has come under increasing threat, making the safeguarding of ICH a crucial task for the governments and peoples of the world. As education is essential to the safeguarding of ICH, education in this regard at universities has become increasingly important. Universities must act immediately, press ahead with teaching reforms, and speed up efforts to build academic disciplines, cultivate talent, foster inheritors, and nurture new cultural professionals. With such efforts, universities will make greater contributions to ICH preservation in China.
