ABSTRACT

The article focuses on the issue of parking in towns. At present, in the Czech Republic, each new building is assessed for the state of the design even as regards the possibility of parking for users or residents of the building in relation to applicable laws and standards. However, this legislation is imperfect in terms of many people and authorities. It is perfectly fine for some objects, but it is totally inadequate or insufficient for the number of parking spaces. As part of the preparation of the article, I also addressed the building authorities with a few questions about the state of legislation that deals with parking. Questions and answers on the exact wording of building offices are not included in the article for reasons of capacity. The conclusion of the article is the assessment of suitability or inappropriateness of the legislation with regard to parking in cities, mainly related to housing construction.
