ABSTRACT

Slip joint connection research began in Department of Steel and Timber Structures at the Slovak University of Technology in year 2007 by Jozef Recký. Michal Botló continued the research and his achievements were published in his dissertation thesis. Both research works give us good base of knowledge and show us where to continue with the slip joint connection experimental research. In the recent time appeared practical requirement to describe slip joint connection exposed to bending and torsional loads. Slovak company ELV (Elektrovod Slovakia) prepared the specimens for experimental research for us. Proposed research is practically based and achieved results will be used in actual mast and tower structures.
