ABSTRACT

In this study, successful synthesis of GO, functionalised MWCNT, TiO2, GO-TiO2, and MWCNT-TiO2 nano materials was confirmed using suitable spectroscopic and microscopic techniques. Successful modification of gold (Au) electrode with these nanoparticles was confirmed using electrochemical techniques. The electron transport properties of the modified electrodes was studied in 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution (PBS) and 5 mM Ferri/Ferro ([Fe(CN)6]3−/4−) redox probe, respectively. Au-MWCNT-TiO2 modified electrode gave the best electron transport properties, and the best dopamine (DA) oxidation current with micro molar detection limit. The performance of the electrode was attributed to the porous, conducting MWCNT nanoparticles and TiO2 catalyst.
