ABSTRACT

A 14-year-old female with a history of anorectal malformation presents to your clinic for her annual follow-up. She denies any current complaints. She takes senna daily and has good control of her bowel movements. Her abdominal x-ray is clear of stool today. She denies any history of urinary tract infections. She has started her period and is able to insert a tampon without difficulty. The patient's mother asks you what will her medical follow-up look like in 10 years.
