ABSTRACT

This part introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters. The part provides a wealth of suggestions and discusses that the transition of developing country agriculture is both an internal and an external problem, of necessity linked to the actions of the developed countries. It describes several accelerators of production which are useful where the seversl essentials are already fulfilled. Stressing the pervasive role of agriculture in the national economies of the developing countries, the chapter suggests that the transition of developing country agriculture is both an internal and an external problem, of necessity linked to the actions of the developed countries. The part outlines the need for aid agencies, both international and bilateral, to initiate some changes individually and in cooperation with each other. It concludes with the need to reorganize some public agrisupport programs within developing countries and to change operating procedures to make them more effective.
