ABSTRACT

The study of an extremely minimal conscious state becomes an important topic in contemporary research into the structure of human being’s consciousness. This paper introduces the results and physiological characteristics derived from the various stages of practicing the advanced psychological dissection technique (APDT). During the process of practicing APDT, the sensory and perceptive functions of taste, smell, vision, hearing and touch will gradually diminish. As a result, the scope of sensory awareness of our consciousness will also be limited. This paper is of the opinion that the modern research of the minimal conscious state will bring vital inspirations if it is provided with the characteristics of the physiological and psychological aspects described in the psychological dissection techniques of the human mind.
