ABSTRACT

The Taiwan government plans to increase renewable power generation capacity from now to 2025, while in 2017 the monthly generation ratio (M.G. ratio) for the solar photovoltaic generation was 0.54–1.42, and the maximum ratio was 1.42, showing that the maximum power generation occurred in the summer season from July to September. On the other hand, the M.G. ratio for wind power generation is 0.24–2.03, and the minimum ratio is 0.24, meaning that the minimum power generation also occurs in summer season from July to September. The ratio incline in the winter exhibited in the opposite direction. These results showed that renewable power electricity generation is much affected by the seasonal climate.
