ABSTRACT

In this study, the fuzzy inference machine (FIM) is applied to the Conventional Heuristic Algorithm for resource allocation in the Device-to-Device (D2D) communication system to improve the system throughput. In the middle and heavy load environment where the number of channels cannot be allocated to all D2D users, the system can be operated in the Reuse Mode. At this mode, cellular systems will suffer cochannel interference between users due to the underlying communication. Therefore, this study applies FIM with conventional method in heavy load. In this paper, the proposed FIM is applied to the conventional method, which can not only improve energy efficiency but also improve system throughput.
