ABSTRACT
This paper is aimed at the current problems of urban public environmental facilities, which are lack of personality and cultural characteristics and other issues. It puts forward that the regional image system theory should be adopted in the design of urban public environmental facilities. This paper first expounds the significance of the theory of the regional image system to the design of urban public environmental facilities. On the one hand, the regional image system can promote the inheritance and innovation of regional culture. On the other hand, it is conducive to the expression of urban characteristics and personality. Then the paper discusses the design of urban public environmental facilities, which should be combined with the natural resources and geographical characteristics of each city, as well as the adoption of systematic, people-oriented design principles. Finally, it highlights the local urban culture and other aspects. The conclusion is that the design of urban public environmental facilities should adopt the theory of the regional image system.
