ABSTRACT

Visual illusions, perceptions, and patterns of motion forms are derived from combinations of form determinants relevant to motion forms and rotation of the forms concerned. Thus, this study uses different line graphics on forms with rotational movement and via the producing of motion illusion and pattern patterns investigates the apparent movement. Then it explores interactive and causal relationships among form patterns element of motion form, motion illusion, and the reaction of apparent movement. The experiment in this study used the adjustment method in psychophysics to measure the absolute threshold (AT). The findings revealed that different line graphics and rotational speeds influenced the formation and strength of phenomenon of line afterimage (PLA), and it had causal relationships with absolute threshold (AT) in different line graphics in apparent movement.
