ABSTRACT

This paper presents the results of field testing of piles in Permian argillite-like clays and sandstone. Regression equations are proposed by the author for predicting the settlement of piles under transient loads, depending on the type of pile and the degree of weathering in foundation soils. The results of the study are presented in the form of recommendations on estimating the settlement and bearing capacity of a pile in argillite-like clays and sandstone.
