ABSTRACT
Local probability of drilling an additional well, as the specialization of sampling probability when it is applied to selecting exploratory well locations in oil-gas exploration, is discussed. The model of integrating a variety of geological variables for calculating sampling probability, and an optimizing procedure for selecting drilling locations in oil-gas exploration, are proposed. The application results for a gasfield indicate the usefulness of this model and the optimizing procedure.
