ABSTRACT

Dislocation structures in β-CuZn deformed between 25 and 300°C were examined by TEM to obtain insight into the mechanism of the stress anomaly at around 200°C in this material. It has been shown that the stress anomaly is closely connected with the dislocation structure. Below the stress peak temperature Tp most of the dislocations were of <111> type, while at and above Tp dislocations with Burgers vector of <010> or <101> were predominant.
