Study of Dislocation Level by a Simple Model of the Two-Dimensional Electron

Electronic states in a hexagonal lattice with an edge dislocation is studied in the tight-binding approximation. The topological disorder around the edge site causes a localized state which has characteristic feature of a dangling bond state. A simple theory is also presented, which explaines the reason for the occurrence of the dangling bond state.
