ABSTRACT

The analysis of temperature regime and chemical composition of gas in capillary discharge plasma of waveguide CO2 laser has been carried out. The results have shown that the gas temperature in mixture of CO2–N2–He enriched with helium in wide ranges of its changing doesn’t depend on a diameter of a discharge tube and on pressure of operating mixture. It has been illustrated experimentally that comparing with the discharges of lower pressure in wide tubes the capillary discharges are characterized by more deeper decomposition of working molecules of CO2 and by higher density of reaction products.
