ABSTRACT

Space-time structure of composition changes by plasma spraying (PS) is determined. Only the aspects of the molten particle-gas interaction are discussed in detail.

The work was based on the calculations of Ti particles thermokinetic state in a flow measured by the experiment. Three possible mechanisms of molten particle saturation by gas-mixture are suggested. The paper deals with the theoretical description and the intensities comparison of the particle impurities saturation by diffusion and hydroconvection methods. Experimental results confirming some regularities of the composition change by PS under rarefied atmosphere are given.
