ABSTRACT

The review of well-known industrial methods of REE oxide generation with the use of thermal decomposition of their oxalates in periodic operation muffle furnaces, and studying of possibilities of thermal decomposition realization in special boiler as well have shown that besides of the simplicity of apparatus designing the available methods have a number of quite essential disadvantages. Connecting with it, great attention is paid to plasma device constructions, studying and mathematical modelling of technological processes, generalization and optimization of their characteristics and to development, on their basis, of plasma-chemical technology of REE oxides generation out of their oxalates. For the purpose of more efficient organization of thermal decomposition of the product, enlarging efficiency and optimization of plasma apparatus in industrial conditions, and for making the finite production quality better numerical calculations have been carried out on the basis of mathematical modelling of the whole chemical technological process.
