Plasma Treatment of Silica and Alumina and Materials on Their Basis

Plasma processes of the quartz powder treatment, the powder spraying of alumina on a quartz glass substrate to obtain the corundum coating, the surface modification of quartz glass are discussed. It is shown that thermal conductivity, extremely high viscosity of melts, polymorphysm effect on these processes.
