ABSTRACT

Metallo-supramolecular polymers (MSPs) can be classified as a subset of metal-containing materials in which the metal–ligand interaction is dynamic in nature and thus acts as the supramolecular motif. These organic/inorganic hybrid systems potentially offer the attractive combination of the functionality of metal ions, the mechanical properties and processability of polymers, and the self-assembly characteristics and dynamic nature of supramolecular chemistry.
