ABSTRACT
Computers and networks attacks have become pervasive in communications world. Any personal computer or laptop connected to Internet is under the threat of hackers, eavesdroppers and attacks. Home users and especially business users, are attacked on a regular basis. It is obvious that has become an issue of high level importance, the need to combat computer and networks attacks. Although traditionally cryptography has been associated with security and privacy in communications, it actually has many other objectives, among them such as authentication and data integrity. From the theoretical point of view, today cryptography can solve security problems. Although, the new applications scenarios for communications give rise to new demands. This Special Session is aimed to give solutions to today’s security problems, via flexible and trustworthy solutions.
