ABSTRACT

A Novel phenomenon in genetic algorithm is presented. In this method, the chromosome population is sub-divided in three categories analogous to real life called CE, NR and WL. Restrictions and rules are assigned for each category and superior chromosomes are selected. The method results in a faster convergence and improved result. Simulation results are verified for optimizing the matching network of a microstrip like antenna. Improvements regarding convergence time are achieved with this new technique.
