ABSTRACT
This chapter includes papers, presented at the Symposium on ‘Industrial and Environmental Case Studies’, pertaining to industrial operation/process, environmental impact, modelling/simulation, data/information processing. The Symposium established the conditions and requisites for both (a) a general and wide multi-lateral forum for exchanging ideas and experience in the field of computer aided industrial/environmental applications, and (b) certain partial cooperative schemes in specialised topics where the participating teams have similar or complementary interests.
