ABSTRACT

Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is currently receiving much attention and seems to be the most promising candidate as signaling protocol for the future IP based multimedia services. While the problem of QoS mostly refers to network layer, the problem of security is strictly related to the signaling mechanisms and the service provisioning model. This paper presents, a new SIP based multi-party secure closed conference system. In the traditional participants, except of captain, conference participants doesn’t have a privilege that accepts or declines new participants. On the other hand, in closed conference system, adding new participants needs unanimity of opinion of existing participants. We also propose a new authentication procedure for closed conference system. By means of a real testbed implementation, we provide an experimental performance analysis of the closed conference system.
