ABSTRACT

In this paper, the factors affecting the safety thickness of top plate above shallow underground caves in the mountain-city are analyzed under the reference of previous study. The failure mechanism of mutual process between the foundation and underground caves, the factors affecting on the safety thickness of top plate and the related variability laws are studied by means of FEM numerical simulation. The safety thickness of top plate forecasting model is obtained by means of stepwise regression analysis. The paper is also studied how the fractures in top plate affecting the safety thickness of top plate.
