ABSTRACT

The chapter provides the analysis of ILO-OSH 2001 guidelines content. This document constitutes a unique approach to standardization of requirements for OSH management systems on an international scale. Through a built-in mechanism assuring transposition of its provisions to the national guidelines level and, subsequently, to the tailored guidelines level in many countries, processes have been initiated to create new normative documents adjusted to the needs of such countries, as well as various sectors and sizes of organizations.
